About the Authors. Behind the True Story.

We’re Paige Blaze and Eddie Bane — co-authors of 1987: An Unfinished Love Story.

Our journey began as teenagers on the sandy shores of South Padre Island, Texas, where one unforgettable summer changed everything. Life eventually pulled us apart, but 35 years later, fate brought us back together.

1987 is more than a memoir — it is proof that first love never truly fades. Through this site, we share our story, future books, and a glimpse into the journey that began in 1987 and continues today.

Follow along. The best chapters are still being written.

Meet the Authors:      Paige Blaze & Eddie Bane

1987 An Unfinished Love Story

Paige Blaze is a mother of two grown sons and a proud grandmother to a beloved little girl who brings endless joy to her life. Born in the Philippines and raised in Dallas, Texas, Paige grew up in a Lake Highlands home filled with love, laughter, and strong family bonds that continue to shape her story today.

She graduated from the University of Texas and has always held a deep appreciation for family, resilience, and meaningful connections. Paige shared a particularly close bond with her father, whose passing in 2020 left a lasting imprint on her heart, while her relationship with her mother remains one of her greatest sources of strength and love.

Beyond writing, Paige is a passionate advocate for women’s health, with a special focus on stress awareness and adrenal wellness. She has also dedicated years to animal rescue efforts across Texas and Louisiana, including hurricane disaster response work to help protect and save animals in crisis.

Paige has a deep love for travel, new experiences, and storytelling — all of which inspire the emotional depth behind 1987: An Unfinished Love Story.

Eddie Bane is a proud father of one daughter and a successful business owner with a zest for life and a love of adventure. An avid boater and outdoorsman, he is passionate about Jeeps, overlanding, and exploring nature’s backroads.

A self-proclaimed food enthusiast, Eddie appreciates the finer things in life — from memorable meals and exceptional wines to the music and culture that have long tied him to New Orleans.

With his parents still living, Eddie remains grounded in the values they instilled in him: hard work, loyalty to family, and a deep appreciation for life’s rich experiences.

Today, Eddie and Paige continue to live, love, and embrace life’s adventures together. They attend concerts, travel, and create new memories — still rocking out, still laughing, and still choosing each other every day.

Their next chapters, like any real love story, do not come without challenges. But through every season of life, they remain grounded in resilience, gratitude, and the belief that love is not defined by perfection, but by the commitment to grow, endure, and keep writing the story together.

Paige Blaze and Eddie Bane are the co-authors of the memoir 1987: An Unfinished Love Story, a true story of first love, distance, and second chances.
